Gentle reminder: If you decide to make your own hotel arrangements, then you have to make your own hotel arrangements. We won't be suggesting hotels at each station for you and please don't ask us to call and check on availability on your behalf. If you get in trouble on the road, or you find out that the hotel you booked is awful, then of course your driver or Ramesh will find a hotel for you, but beyond that, if you want us to help with hotels, then you need to purchase a package from us that includes hotels. Much more than it did before Covid hit!! Here is how much we charge for our cars and drivers. (These figures are not negotiable.) We have to change prices from time to time, so if you are reading an old post on a message forum, these prices will look different.
Many travel companies in India quote 300 km per day but Lets Go India Tours Company quotes their rates for a minimum of 250 km per day. This is the industry standard. You have to pay even if the car does not leave the hotel parking that day. No company can afford to keep a car hundreds of kilometres away that is not making money. Some days you will travel more than 250 km and some days less.
By the way, we decide how many kilometres a day is appropriate for the safety and comfort of our customers and drivers. This is one of the reasons we require your itinerary before giving you a quote.
While traveling to and from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh or crossing any border has to be paid expensive toll road taxes and state taxes too, if you travel with us you will never be asked for money when you reach a toll booth. Our price guide below has been created to incorporate all border taxes. Plus all the seemingly random taxes “I am a guy in a uniform who can stand next to an iron rod that I have pulled across the road and I am collecting money from cars passing me” taxes.
Now you want a well-rested and well-fed driver. Happy driver-happy life. Our drivers don’t sleep in their cars. The rates below also include your driver’s food and accommodation.
So, except for the more unusual itineraries, we will give you a quote based on a per day fee. You can do the math yourself if you really want to.
If your itinerary requires you to be on the road more than five hours a day, leave at an ungodly hour, or anything else we consider unusual, this formula will not apply.
Google Maps warning: Great little tool and getting better every year. Still very inaccurate for times between some cities. I mean, if Google Directions says “head southwest on an unknown road,” how could they possibly know how long it will take?
Rates below include all fuel, road tolls, green taxes, border taxes and even parking fees, plus your driver's food and accommodation, but not the mandatory 5% Goods and Services Tax.

You’ve got a REALLY old edition. We regularly do mystery shopping in Rajasthan and our rates are pretty standard for All India Tourist cars. If you hire a car from a company within Rajasthan and stay in Rajasthan, then the car doesn’t have to pay any border taxes because it isn’t crossing any borders, then yes, it will be cheaper than the rates above. If you are leaving from Delhi it’s a different matter. If someone gives you a per kilometer quote, be darn sure it includes the border taxes, which differ depending on the seating capacity of the vehicle and which state lines you are crossing.
Generally, yes. But he cannot accompany you to monuments and be your guide inside attractions. He will get into big trouble. There are associations of certified guides and they will not tolerate any kind of infraction. If you have hired a guide, it is even more difficult for him to accompany you inside, so it is better not to ask him if he wants to come with you. We can send a certified guide with you, but to be honest, we will provide tour guide service for you as per your order in advance, when and where you feel you need a guide.
Yes. But all our services originate from Delhi. This means you must also stay in Delhi, with some rare exceptions.

Examples: overnight driving, 10 hours of driving between cities, At our discretion, we require breaks during the trip between certain cities for the safety and comfort of our guests, drivers, cars, and others on the road. This is not negotiable. Refusing unwise service is not arrogant or rude; it is prudent.
